BC Ferrries M.V changes

Ferry riders who travel between Cortes and Quadra Island will get a change-up at the end of the month.

 BC Ferries has announced the MV Tachek will take the place of the MV Tanaka.

“The Tacheck will fit 30 vehicles which is the same as the Tanaka,” says BC Ferries spokesperson Deborah Marshall.

The Tachek is taller than Tanaka as it has %100 over height capacity. It’s also been fitted with sewage holding tanks, so all sewage will be pumped ashore in the same procedure as the Tanaka.

The Tanaka will be out until December 2012, it has been moved to the Denman Hornby Island run.
